Most Admired Companies for Social Media

Our birds of a feather session last night at Marriott as part of Web 2.0 Expo was great and met a few social media consultants and representatives from Microsoft, and Follett. We provided the attendants a quick sneak peak into the findings and had great discussions on social media issues/challenges and opportunities that are faced by Corporations and Organizations.

In anticipation of this Friday’s Web 2.0 Expo session that Chris Heuer and I will be moderating with Michael Walsh, from a Fortune 50, Jeanette Gibson of Cisco, and Isabelle Christensen of REC Solar, we wanted to release a little more information about the research on the “Social Media Buyer’s Guide”.

We asked respondants what companies they admired the most, here is a list of the ones that had the most votes:

As mentioned in previous posts, we will be releasing tidbits of information on e-storm’s blog, but invite you to go to www.socialmediabuyersguide.com as the central place for information on this joint project by Social Media Club and e-storm. The Web 2.0 Expo is just the beginning of this project, as we are planning a lot of activities to make it a robust tool/place for Social Media practitioners.

Stay tuned!
