With more and more Americans enjoying road-tripping and outdoor activities, people now have a need to bring more stuff along for the ride. That’s one reason why since 1991, Rack N Road (formerly SportsRack), a supplier of consumer car racks, has grown from one retail store to 15 locations throughout California, Washington, Utah, and Colorado.
The huge surge in physical locations, however, made it difficult for Rack N Road to focus on their interactive marketing efforts. In order to develop more online revenue, they needed to improve search engines rankings and effectively manage their sponsored-link programs.
After a thorough review of the company’s Web site structure, visitor behavior, content, and e-commerce functions, we optimized the Rack N Road site to achieve better rankings.
The results came in only three months later, when Rack N Road increased its presence in top-10 rankings from 20 to more than 300. We helped coordinate the submission of the site into shopping engines such as Amazon and Yahoo! Shopping. We also helped the company manage their sponsored link program. Within a month of managing the sponsored-links program, Rack N Road maintained the number of visitors while reducing monthly sponsorship costs by 40%.
