Situation
Ebates is the pioneer and leader of online Cash Back Shopping. When they came to e-storm their goals were clear: develop a following from community board members, get customer feedback, and increase sales.

Strategy
Develop deep ties in the online community through incentives and promotions, and solicit clear – and directive – feedback from customers.

Solutions
e-storm participated in more than 800 communities across every Ebates category (including apparel, computers, books and magazines, gadgets) and engaged members of community boards with appropriate trial incentives. On the community boards, we actively answered consumer questions and offered advice as to where to find products. In return, consumers provided invaluable feedback on products and merchants.

Results
In short order, we delivered over 5,000 members in 4 months. When surveyed, 12% of new members said they came to ebates.com through our marketing efforts in community boards.
