Situation
When Wells Fargo realized they were losing 50% of visitors of their merchant services website – and had no idea why – they knew they had to do something. Not only were transactions through the website low, awareness in the target market was abysmal.
Strategy
Approach the problem from two angles: conduct surveys to learn why visitors dropped off so quickly and use Social Media, Online Advertising, and Search Engine Optimization to increase awareness, drive traffic and conversions.
Solutions
Competitive analysis and social media initiatives helped us better understand visitors’ needs. e-storm also completed an extensive analysis of their site, visitor behavior, and problem areas. Additionally, we conducted entry and exit surveys with visitors. From all the research, we initiated online advertising, search engine optimization and referral programs.
Results
Through our research, social media marketing, SEO, online advertising, and deep analytics efforts, we strengthened the site’s position against the competition, and increased awareness of Wells Fargo as a trusted provider in that category.
